Data Protection

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect personal data submitted through this website.

Chadderton Learning Centre ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses this website, including schools, local authorities, parents, and carers. This policy explains what personal data we collect through chaddertonlearningcentre.co.uk, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It covers this website only — our wider approach to safeguarding and pupil information once a referral is accepted is set out in our Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy and SEND & Inclusion Policy.

Who We Are

Chadderton Learning Centre is the data controller for information collected through this website. Our contact details are:

Chadderton Learning Centre
Cobden Street, Chadderton, Oldham, OL9 9LE
info@chaddertonlearningcentre.co.uk

What We Collect

The only personal data this website collects is what you choose to submit through our Contact & Referral form. Depending on what you fill in, this may include:

  • Your name, role, and school or organisation
  • Your email address and, if provided, phone number
  • The type of enquiry and, where relevant, a pupil's year group
  • Any background information you choose to share about a student or your enquiry

We do not collect any personal data automatically. We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this website. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch those font files — no cookies are set as part of this, but it does mean Google may see the request, including your IP address, as with any resource loaded from an external server.

Why We Collect It

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, discuss or process a referral, and arrange visits. We only process this data because you have given us your explicit consent by submitting the form, and because doing so is necessary to respond to the request you have made of us.

Who We Share It With

Form submissions are delivered to us using Formspree, a third-party form-processing service that receives your submission and forwards it to our inbox. Formspree processes this data on our behalf and may store it on servers outside the UK. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any marketing or advertising third party.

Where an enquiry becomes a referral, relevant details are shared internally with Chadderton Learning Centre staff involved in the admissions process, and, where appropriate, with the referring school or local authority who is already part of that conversation.

Children's Information

Our contact form is intended to be completed by an adult — a parent, carer, or member of school or local authority staff — not directly by a child. Where information about a child or young person is included in a submission, we treat it with particular care and in line with our Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy and SEND & Inclusion Policy, both available on our Policies page.

How Long We Keep It

We keep information submitted through this website only for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, complete a referral, or meet our safeguarding and statutory record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Keeping Your Data Secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we hold from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, and we only work with third-party services, such as Formspree, that provide appropriate safeguards for the data they process on our behalf.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Object to how we're using your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@chaddertonlearningcentre.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to this website or our data practices. Any changes will be published on this page.
